Walter Elliott
Walter Elliott is a member of the firm's litigation and appellate practice team. He regularly represents clients in Georgia and federal trial courts in civil litigation, primarily business litigation. Walter has extensive experience representing clients before Georgia and federal appellate courts. He also represents employers in employment litigation, including civil rights litigation. Walter's practice also includes representing local governments. He is County Attorney for Lowndes County.

Prior to joining the firm in 1993, Walter was a litigation partner in the Atlanta firm of Alston & Bird, where he practiced from 1982 to 1993.

Walter has served as chairman of the Board of Trustees of Valwood School, President of the Valdosta Bar Association, a member of the Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and an Elder of the First Presbyterian Church. He has been awarded the Georgia Supreme Court's "Amicus Curiae" award for outstanding contribution to the practice of law in Georgia.

Walter is a 1979 graduate of Dartmouth College. He received his J.D. in 1982 from the University of Virginia School of Law. Walter and his wife, Laura, have three children, Will, John and Eliza.
